HOW TO START KARTING - START THEM YOUNG

KARTING</p> <p>Karting is a great school of life for young people and the best way to learn about driving and racing. The best route for the future car Champions, Karting is also practiced by enthusiasts who devote all their energy to it.</p> <p>The FMSCI National Karting Championships are open to drivers from the age of 8, with no upper age limit.</p> <p>There are several types and grades, depending on age</p> <p>Micro Max – 8-12 years old<br /> Junior Max – 12-14 years old<br /> Senior Max – 15years and above</p> <p>Licences are issued by the ASNs (National Sporting Authorities), namely the FMSCI our Federation with your participation certificate with us as we are affiliated karting / racing academy.</p> <p>Although the kart is basically a machine of simple design, the high standard of Competition makes it a very high-level sport where ultra-competent professional teams confront each other.</p> <p>The spectacle provided by Karting events has an intensity rarely seen in motorsport. The closeness of the track, a succession of races throughout the weekend, constant suspense and the beauty of the struggle for victory make it an exciting discipline to experience for both specialists and the general public.</p> <p>STEP 1 - GET A KART</p> <p>Before you start competing in FMSCI Rotax National Karting Championship India you should practice to learn the basics and to do so, you will need a kart.<br /> Kart can be rented or purchased from us in India. Depending on your budget you can go for either second hand or brand-new equipment.<br /> When buying a kart, make sure you get one eligible for your age group.</p> <p>Current Karting classes:<br /> • Micro Max for drivers 7 to 12 years old – Rotax Micro 125cc (13hp) Engine<br /> • Junior Max for drivers 12 to 15 years old – Rotax Junior 125cc (21hp) Engine<br /> • Senior Max for drivers 15+ years old – Rotax Senior 125cc (28hp) Engine</p> <p>To get more information about kart chassis & engines, please contact: momentummotorsports.india@gmail.com</p> <p>STEP 2 - RACE GEAR (Safety First)</p> <p>There are a few races gear items you would need to purchase in order to race karts:<br /> • Helmet with FIA Karting homologation<br /> • Suit (Overall) with FIA Karting homologation<br /> • Race boots covering your ankles<br /> • Gloves<br /> • Rib & Neck protectors – mandatory for Micro Max and highly recommended for Junior and Senior
